We first made our name as a fast-fit centre, but over the years we’ve grown into a full-service garage — so the name and the website have caught up with what we actually do. Here’s everything you can now get from us, all under one roof:

It is the same garage, at the same address, with the same team and the same phone number. The name changed to Fastlane; nothing else about walking through the door did. We are still at 232-254 Boundary Road, St Helens, WA10 2PZ, and your records are still held against your registration. Ring 01744 808586 or read our page on the change of name.
The old name described a tyre and exhaust fitting business, and the workshop had long since grown well beyond that into full servicing, MOT testing, diagnostics, engine and gearbox work, bodywork and electric vehicle repair. Fastlane reflects what actually happens here now. It also gave us the chance to bring the branding, the website and the booking system together. Our about page explains the history and where the business is going.
The number is the same as it has always been: 01744 808586. Any old cards or invoices you have kept will still reach us. Calls come through to the office at Boundary Road rather than to a call centre, so you are speaking to the people who will actually be working on the car. We are on the phone Monday to Friday from half past eight until five and Saturday mornings until half twelve. Our contact page has directions.
We are in exactly the same place, 232-254 Boundary Road, St Helens, WA10 2PZ, with parking on site and the same reception. The MOT bay, the workshop, the tyre bay and the paint booth are all in the same building, which is the whole point of coming here rather than being sent between three different businesses. The same technicians, the same MOT tester and the same faces on the front desk. Continuity is most of what people value in a garage, because the person who did your cambelt last year remembers the car. Since the rebrand we have added training rather than replaced people, including IMI Level 4 qualifications for electric and hybrid work. Come in and see for yourself. Every job we have carried out is held against your registration, and the change of name did not affect any of it. If you need a printed summary for a warranty claim or to help sell the car, ask and we will run one off. Keeping the record unbroken is one of the most valuable things a regular garage does for you. Any booking you already have stands, and any warranty on parts or work we have carried out is honoured exactly as before. The business behind the name is unchanged, so nothing about your position changed with the signage. Bring the invoice if you are coming back about previous work and we will pick it straight up. The old web addresses redirect to the equivalent pages on the new site, so any bookmarks or search results you have saved will still land somewhere useful. If a link takes you to the home page rather than the page you wanted, the search box will find it. The booking system is the same one as before. Servicing, MOT testing, diagnostics, brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engine work, exhausts, tyres, air conditioning, electric and hybrid vehicles and full bodywork in our own paint booth. That is considerably more than the old name suggested, and it all happens on one site rather than being shared between businesses. Vans and light commercials are covered too. Tyres are still very much part of what we do, along with puncture repairs, wheel balancing and alignment. The tyre bay is where the business started and it has not gone anywhere. We fit car, van and commercial casings, and finance options are available on a full set. Ring with your tyre size from the sidewall and we will check stock. Our approvals came with us through the rebrand, and we have continued to pass the independent audits that sit behind them, covering equipment, technician qualifications, record keeping, quotation procedure and complaints handling. Those inspections happen on site and look at real job cards rather than a brochure. It is one of the few objective measures available when choosing a garage. Read our page on our audit results.
They are two separate businesses that share a name. Fastlane Group is the garage on Boundary Road in St Helens, where the workshop, MOT bay and paint booth are. Fastlane Autocare is a mobile mechanic operation working at customers homes and workplaces. If you want work done at our premises, this is the right place.
