What a morning it was. We recently threw open our doors for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and thanks to a wonderful turnout the tea was flowing, the cake table was heaving, and together we raised over £480 for a cause close to so many hearts. To everyone who popped in, we simply want to say thank you.
A brew, a slice of cake, and a great cause
There is something lovely about a coffee morning. No fuss, no pressure, just good company and the chance to do a bit of good along the way. It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces from the local area, along with plenty of new ones, all coming together over a cuppa and a natter. The atmosphere was warm and friendly from start to finish, and it reminded us just how generous our community can be.

Raising over £480 is no small feat, and it simply would not have been possible without the people who showed up and got stuck in. So a heartfelt thank you goes out to:
- Everyone who came along and spent their morning with us.
- The kind souls who baked and brought in cakes, biscuits and treats for the table.
- Everyone who dug deep and donated so generously on the day.
Every slice of cake sold, every coin dropped in the tin and every cup of tea poured added up to something that will make a real difference. We are genuinely touched by how much support there was, and it means a great deal to all of us here.
Why Macmillan matters
The money raised goes to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that does incredible work for people living with cancer and the families and friends around them. From nurses and practical guidance to emotional and financial support, Macmillan is there during some of life's hardest moments, helping people feel less alone and more able to cope. Cancer touches almost all of us in one way or another, whether through our own experience or someone we love, and knowing that support like this exists makes a world of difference. Every penny raised helps them continue that vital work.
